Privacy Policy

Tile Tempo is designed around local play. This policy explains what stays on your device, when third-party services may process data, and the choices available to you.

1. Overview

Tile Tempo: Riichi Mahjong (“Tile Tempo,” “the app”) is provided by NIXLIGHT TECHNOLOGY LIMITED (“Nixlight,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). You can play without creating an account. Core gameplay, rules, opponent decisions, game saves, and statistics operate on your device.

The app includes optional services that require a network connection: rewarded advertising, purchase and entitlement verification, purchase restoration, production analytics and crash diagnostics, and feedback that you choose to submit. Those services are described below.

2. Information stored on your device

Tile Tempo stores local data needed to play and resume the app, including:

  • current ranked, tournament, and free-play table states;
  • scores, results, histories, statistics, and rival records;
  • your selected profile avatar and app preferences;
  • Coins, rewarded-ad counters, and cached Premium status; and
  • local logs used for in-app table review.

Nixlight does not operate an account or cloud-sync service for this data and generally cannot access or recover it. Deleting the app or clearing its storage may remove local progress. Device or app-store backup behavior is controlled by your platform provider and settings.

3. Optional rewarded advertising

Tile Tempo does not insert mandatory advertising into a hand. If you are not a Premium user, you may choose to watch a rewarded ad to earn Coins. If you never request a rewarded ad, the app does not need to show one.

Tile Tempo uses Google AdMob. When an ad is requested, Google and its advertising partners may process device and advertising identifiers, IP address, approximate location inferred from technical data, consent signals, ad interactions, diagnostics, and related information to deliver, limit, secure, measure, and where permitted personalize ads. Their handling of data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.

Where required, the app uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to request and store advertising privacy choices. A privacy-options entry point is available inside the app where required. On iOS, App Tracking Transparency may also ask whether the app can track activity across other companies' apps and websites. You can change that system-level permission in iOS Settings.

4. Premium purchases

Tile Tempo offers an optional one-time Premium purchase. Apple App Store or Google Play processes the transaction. Tile Tempo uses RevenueCat to verify the entitlement and restore purchases. RevenueCat and the applicable store may process a pseudonymous app-user identifier, product identifier, purchase and entitlement status, platform information, and related technical data.

Nixlight does not receive your full payment-card details. See the RevenueCat Privacy Policy, Apple Privacy Policy, and Google Privacy Policy.

5. App analytics

Production builds use Firebase Analytics to understand broad feature usage and app reliability. Firebase may process a pseudonymous app instance identifier, app version, platform and device information, approximate region, and events such as screen views or completion of an in-app action. Tile Tempo does not attach your local hands, tile histories, profile name, feedback text, or advertising identifiers to custom analytics events.

Analytics collection is disabled in development builds. Google processes Firebase Analytics data under its Firebase Privacy and Security terms.

6. Crash and error diagnostics

Release and profile builds of Tile Tempo use Sentry to help identify crashes and serious errors. A diagnostic event may include app version, device model, operating-system version, stack trace, error type, and related technical context.

Tile Tempo configures Sentry not to send default personally identifiable information, not to attach screenshots, not to record performance traces, and to sanitize file-system paths. Diagnostic events are also rate-limited. Sentry processes diagnostic information under its Privacy Policy.

7. In-app feedback

If you choose to use the feedback form in Settings, Firebase receives the subject and message you enter together with an anonymous Firebase user identifier, language, platform, app version, build number, and submission time. The app does not require your name, email address, or Tile Tempo game records. Please do not include sensitive personal information in your message.

Feedback files are stored in Firebase Storage so Nixlight can review the report, answer it through a later app update where appropriate, prevent abuse, and improve Tile Tempo. They are retained only as long as reasonably needed for those purposes and legal obligations.

8. Website and email support

This website does not use advertising cookies, analytics SDKs, account registration, or contact forms. Your browser or hosting provider may process ordinary connection logs such as IP address, request time, and user-agent information for delivery and security.

If you email support, we receive the email address, message, attachments, and any other information you choose to provide. We use it to answer the request, prevent abuse, and maintain a reasonable support history. Do not send full game databases, purchase credentials, or sensitive personal information unless specifically requested for troubleshooting.

9. Sharing, retention, and international processing

Nixlight does not sell your local game records or profile for money and does not operate a data-broker business. Information is disclosed only to service providers described in this policy, when you direct us to do so, to protect users and the service, or where required by law.

Local data remains until you delete or reset it. Third-party providers retain information according to their own policies and legal duties. Support correspondence is retained only as reasonably necessary for the request, security, recordkeeping, and legal compliance. Providers may process data in countries other than your own.

10. Children

Tile Tempo is a general-audience strategy game and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly request personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent personal information to us, contact us so we can review and address the request.

11. Your choices and rights

  • You decide whether to request a rewarded ad.
  • You can review UMP privacy options inside the app where available.
  • You can manage iOS tracking permission in system Settings.
  • You can reset game records from the relevant in-app record pages.
  • You can delete the app to remove its locally stored data.
  • You decide whether to submit an in-app feedback report.
  • You can contact us about diagnostic, purchase-related, or support data.

Privacy rights vary by location. We may need reasonable information to verify and fulfill a request, but because there is no Tile Tempo account, we generally cannot identify or retrieve your on-device game data.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when Tile Tempo, its service providers, or applicable requirements change. The effective date at the top identifies the current version. Material changes may also be communicated in the app or store listing where appropriate.
